Yes, I think that in another universe (perhaps one where Jack is retired) Jack and his flying piggy would be very happy with each other for many years, although I can see where when Jack has guests (like Andy and the guys on poker nights) a flying piglet who is jealous of Jack's attention and a little bit obtrusive might be cute, where the flying sow who does the same would be just obnoxious! If he gets another chance at this, perhaps he should consider a male piglet, who would be less likely to feel the jealousy, and more likely to be happy to see a golden opportunity to snarfle up dropped pretzels, instead.

To Know the Dark

To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is travelled by dark feet and dark wings.
-Wendell Berry

Up in the morning's no for me,
Up in the morning early;
When a' the hills are covered wi' snaw,
I'm sure it's winter fairly.
-Robert Burns

Visit to the Hermit Ts'ui

Moss covered paths between scarlet peonies,
Pale jade mountains fill your rustic windows.
I envy you, drunk with flowers,
Butterflies swirling in your dreams.

Mistress of high achievement, O lady Truth,
do not let my understanding stumble
across some jagged falsehood.

Is a bit of truth.

All well defined, and several stinks.
